$80 Initial Legal Consultation for 25 Minutes

This paid telephone consultation ("Phone Consultation") is offered for a flat fee of $80 and is limited to a maximum duration of twenty-five (25) minutes; however, the consultation may be shorter depending on the nature of the inquiry, time constraints, or the Attorney’s professional judgment.

Per California Business and Professions Code Section 6148(a): “In any case not coming within Section 6147 in which it is reasonably foreseeable that total expense to a client, including attorney fees, will exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000), the contract for services in the case shall be in writing.”  Based on the foregoing, the contract for Phone Consultation services is based on the Prospective Client and Attorney entering into an oral agreement at the start of the Phone Consultation to proceed with the Phone Consultation only, without a written contract.

Payment of the consultation fee does not create an ongoing attorney-client relationship, does not constitute legal representation, and does not obligate Attorney to provide ongoing legal services, written work product, or follow-up advice. Any information provided during the consultation is general in nature, based solely on the facts presented during the limited discussion, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a full legal review or formal legal representation. Attorney does not guarantee any particular outcome, result, or strategy, and no statements made during the consultation should be construed as promises or assurances. Attorney may not perform a full conflicts check prior to the consultation, and therefore cannot guarantee the absence of potential conflicts of interest. Attorney will make reasonable efforts to maintain confidentiality.

The Phone Consultation fee is non-refundable except in limited circumstances: a refund will be considered only after Prospective Client first requests to timely reschedule the consultation and, if rescheduling is not possible, timely submits a completed refund request form provided by Attorney. By scheduling and paying for the consultation, Prospective Client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and understands that Attorney is not representing them unless and until a separate agreement is executed.
